Tennis with purpose
Choose your price. Change a kid's game.
Every Rally Counts offers pay-what-you-choose tennis lessons on public courts. Instead of a fixed price, you decide what you can give, and every dollar goes straight to Greater Newark Tennis & Education to help young people in Newark access the game. What started as one volunteer session has grown into a simple way for our community to make tennis more affordable for the kids who need it most.

The founder
Why I started Every Rally Counts
Jonah Blumenthal is a New York City student, varsity tennis captain, and longtime junior performance player. He has spent years on court chasing the sport at a competitive level, and just as many years on public courts, where a good rally is available to anyone who shows up with a racquet and a little patience.
Meet Jonah →Equipment access
A racquet can start a lifetime of play.
Usable equipment sitting in a closet can become someone's first racquet. Here's what we accept:
- Racquets
- Tennis bags
- Tennis balls
- Grips and overgrips
- Athletic shoes
- Strings and basic accessories
